Physician - Dermatology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the human skin. Prescribes and administers patient medications. Being a Physician - Dermatology performs a variety of laboratory procedures, examines sample tissues, and uses various biological and chemical analyses to identify harmful organisms or pathological conditions. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Additionally, Physician - Dermatology requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Eagle Dermatology is a private practice with two medical providers and one esthetician. We provide medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology services.
Our office utilizes EZDerm EHR and a candidate must be proficient at quickly navigating an iPad to perform nearly all of your medical charting. Strong attention to detail, ability to accept and apply regular feedback, and a positive attitude are essential.
Our dermatology assistants must be able to accurately and efficiently document medical encounters in a fast paced environment, generate and provide lab requisitions, send in prescriptions, provide patient samples, provide printout of and clarify patient counseling; schedule necessary follow up visits; inventory, stock and prepare rooms for encounters and procedures; assist providers with procedures and surgeries; clean and sanitize rooms and equipment following encounters. Our MA's will be required to cross-train to check in patients and answer phones when needed.
Job will occasionally require staying late, particularly on the surgery days due to the unpredictable nature of surgical procedures.
Job requires the ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time, standing for the majority of the day and at length while assisting in long surgical procedures. Must be able to carry 20 lbs.
All staff, regardless of training or experience will be required to undergo training specific to the dermatology field. All staff will become certified dermatology technicians as part of this paid training program.
