Physician - Dermatology jobs in Chula Vista, CA

Looking for a driven and patient focused healthcare professional Medical Assistant to manage and coordinate new patient referrals and follow up visits in our busy practice. This job requires a high level of organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and a part of a team. A successful candidate will have at least 1 year of Dermatology Office experience working as a Medical Assistant in a high-volume practice.

Qualifications

• Familiar with medical terminology
• Familiar with different type of insurances (ex. IPA's, PPO's and HMO's.)
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Must be attentive to detail, accurate, and thorough.
• Must be persistent in following through all activities to completion.
• Excellent communication skills;
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Excel, Word; proficient in the use of Outlook.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Essential duties and Responsibilities
• Ensures referrals are dealt with in a timely manner.

• Ensures patients are followed up with as documented by providers.
• Work with Physician Liaison to ensure all referred patients are scheduled.
• Work with referring providers office
• Helps facilitate progress reports being sent back to referring providers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
