Physician Assistant - Specialty assesses, plans, and provides patient care in a medical specialty, such as cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, etc. under the supervision of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Being a Physician Assistant - Specialty orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests. Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries. Additionally, Physician Assistant - Specialty requires completion of the PANCE exam administered by National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Requires a master's degree in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants or related. Requires Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). Requires State license to practice. Typically reports to a physician.     Key Responsibilities:

        Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including detailed history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests across multiple specialties.

        Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in close collaboration with specialty physicians, ensuring integrated care tailored to individual patient needs.

        Perform specialized procedures relevant to one or more specialties’, Orthopedics, Nephrology, Pain Management, and other areas of expertise, adhering to the highest standards of safety and efficacy.

        Provide targeted patient education and counseling across one or all specialties, empowering patients with the knowledge to manage their conditions effectively.

        Manage follow-up care, including monitoring treatment outcomes, adjusting care plans as necessary, and coordinating with other healthcare services.

        Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring all clinical documentation is up-to-date and reflective of the care provided.

        Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing specialized knowledge and insights to enhance patient care and clinic operations.


    Qualifications:

        Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

        Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.

        Significant experience in Orthopedics, Nephrology, Pain Management, Addiction Medicine, OB/GYN, Psychiatry, and Cardiology within an outpatient setting.

        Proven ability to perform a wide range of clinical procedures and manage complex patient cases.

        Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to providing empathetic, patient-centered care.

        Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities in a busy outpatient environment.
