Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical documentation using electronic systems
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental prosthetics
- Follow strict aseptic technique protocols to prevent the spread of infection
- Have a solid understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Perform basic dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Assist with medical imaging procedures as needed
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience
- X-ray certification required
- Proficiency in using electronic medical documentation systems
- Familiarity with CAD software for dental prosthetics is a plus
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with the dentist and other staff members
