Physician Assistant - Orthopedics assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Being a Physician Assistant - Orthopedics orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests. Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, counsels on preventative care, assists in surgery, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries. Additionally, Physician Assistant - Orthopedics requires a master's degree in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants or related. Requires completion of the PANCE exam administered by National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Requires Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). Nemours Children's Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our Department of Orthopedic Surgery in the outpatient clinic in Milford! This position has no weekend, call, or OR requirement. This position functions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary patient care team and is responsible for performing direct patient care services in collaboration with an attending physician and assisting with the overall care of the children receiving services in the outpatient setting. This position will be either full time in Milford, Delaware, or split between the Milford location and the Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, located in Wilmington, Delaware.
