Physician Assistant - Emergency & Trauma assesses, plans, and provides patient care to patients in an emergency and trauma unit under the supervision of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Being a Physician Assistant - Emergency & Trauma orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests. Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries. Additionally, Physician Assistant - Emergency & Trauma requires a master's degree in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants or related. Requires completion of the PANCE exam administered by National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Requires Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). Requires State license to practice. Typically reports to a physician. Physician Assistant - Emergency & Trauma's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. ChristianaCare is currently seeking full-time Physician Assistant candidates to join our Emergency Medicine team providing care at ChristianaCare's four state-of-the-art Emergency Departments in Delaware and Maryland.
Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants will provide exceptional care to patients in our four ED locations. Full time PA opportunities available; 32 hours per week, 1,504 minimum work hours per year. Clinical duties include evaluating and treating patients with varying levels of acuity in both fast track and core setting. Excellent support from ED physicians available at all times.
