Physician - Anesthesiology examines patient to determine type of anesthetic needed and communicates findings to appropriate medical practitioner. Administers local, intravenous, or spinal anesthetic, records type and amount of anesthesia, and determines condition of patient before, during, and after sedation. Being a Physician - Anesthesiology requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Additionally, Physician - Anesthesiology may report to a medical director. Physician - Anesthesiology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     This facility is seeking an Anesthesiology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need. 

    Details & requirements for this opportunity:
    • Schedule: 10 or 12 hour shifts; no 8 hour shifts available.
    • Job Setting: Hospital Only
    • Types of Cases: Obstetrics, General Surgery, Endoscopy, Vascular, Trauma, and Pediatrics
    • Credentialing time: 30 days
    • Requirements: Board certification
    • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

    Located in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area of Virginia, Newport News is truly an aquatic city, surrounded on almost all sides by bodies of water, including the Atlantic Ocean and the James River.
