Physical Therapist - Nursing Home jobs in Ventura, CA

Physical Therapist - Nursing Home evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease, or surgery in a nursing home environment. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Being a Physical Therapist - Nursing Home works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors. Monitors, documents, and reports patients' progress. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Nursing Home may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires an advanced degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Typically reports to a manager. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Physical Therapist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     What you will do

    • Complete initial and on-going assessments to determine level of functioning, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points.
    • Execute assessment using procedures such as manual and electrical muscle examinations, functional evaluations, gait analysis, sensory testing, measurements of range of motion, and assessment of development and utilization of human movement.
    • Provide therapeutic treatments and evaluation of equipment needs, as applicable.

    Who you are:
    • At least one year of experience in physical therapy.
    • Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of California
