Physical Therapist - Nursing Home jobs in Laredo, TX

Physical Therapist - Nursing Home evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease, or surgery in a nursing home environment. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Being a Physical Therapist - Nursing Home works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors. Monitors, documents, and reports patients' progress. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Nursing Home may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires an advanced degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Typically reports to a manager. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Physical Therapist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are looking for a Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team, part time build to full.


    Compensation ranging from:

    $91,000 to $145,600 annually for full time (25-35 visits per week)

    $37,000-$83,000 for Part Time (10-20 visits per week)

    PT Pediatric Job Qualifications:

    • Develops skilled and high-quality care plans that meet the needs of the patient and family by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results; creating and implementing Physical therapy treatment plans in collaboration with the physician.
    • Assists pediatric and young adult patients to develop or regain physical, neurological, cognitive and/or social/emotional functioning and improves their level of independence..
    • A minimum of one year of recent work experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Excellent attention to detail and above-average organizational skills.
    • Excellent documentation skills with good understanding of basic home health agency regulations and requirements.
    • Solid grasp on electronic medical record documenting.
