Physical Therapist - Nursing Home jobs in Fitchburg, MA
Physical Therapist - Nursing Home evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease, or surgery in a nursing home environment. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Being a Physical Therapist - Nursing Home works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors. Monitors, documents, and reports patients' progress. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Nursing Home may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires an advanced degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Typically reports to a manager. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Physical Therapist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. This is a consistent per diem opportunity for a Physical Therapist to perform treatments, evaluations, and re-evaluations in group homes and residential settings in Worcester and the surrounding area.
- Base rate: Up to $140/visit
- Mileage reimbursement: .62/mile
Requirements
Home healthcare experience is recommended, but not required.
- Candidates must have MA Physical Therapist license.
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while working with a variety of patients and medical professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks, use a computer, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems
