Physical Therapist - Nursing Home evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease, or surgery in a nursing home environment. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Being a Physical Therapist - Nursing Home works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors. Monitors, documents, and reports patients' progress. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Nursing Home may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires an advanced degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Typically reports to a manager. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Physical Therapist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. - CA Licensed Physical Therapist.
- CPR Certified.
- Recent Physical within last year.
- Clear TB Test experience (Entry Levels to Seasoned).
- Works well unsupervised.
Physical Therapy in Home Health:- Evaluate patients.
- Follow-up patients.
- Patients are seen 2 to 3 times per week.
- Post-surgical.
- Balance.
- Home safety.
- ROM.
- Strength training.
- Equipment evaluation.
What to expect while treating:- 45-minute treatments.
- Easy laptop documentation.
- 1 to 7 pts in a week.
