Physical Therapist - Nursing Home jobs in Arlington, MA
Physical Therapist - Nursing Home evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease, or surgery in a nursing home environment. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Being a Physical Therapist - Nursing Home works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors. Monitors, documents, and reports patients' progress. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Nursing Home may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires an advanced degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Typically reports to a manager. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Physical Therapist - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. · Instruct, educate, and train patients and caregivers in the skills and functions essential for promoting patient independence and productivity, in order to diminish or correct pathology.
Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Program with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctor of Physical Therapy
Must be licensed in the State of Massachusetts as a Physical Therapist.
