Physical Therapist jobs in Utah

Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments. Establishes individualized treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Physical Therapist maintains patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly. Advises patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process. Additionally, Physical Therapist may work with and/or consult with physicians, case managers, and other medical professionals. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires Certified Physical Therapist (CPT). Requires Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT). Typically reports to a manager. The Physical Therapist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Responsibilities:

    • Build strong relationships with patients, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment where they feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their therapy journey.
    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, medical histories, and treatment goals to develop individualized and outcome-based treatment plans.
    • Implement treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques, exercises, and modalities, with a strong emphasis on delivering the highest quality care.
    • Administer Dry Needling techniques, following strict sterile procedures and in compliance with state laws and regulations.
    • Provide hands-on manual therapy techniques, including joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, and therapeutic massage, to enhance patients' recovery and overall physical function.
    • Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, self-management techniques, and home exercise programs to foster long-term well-being and independence.
    • Monitor and document patients' progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist and in good standing.
    • Certification in Dry Needling from a recognized program.
    • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, with a focus on outcome-based care and exceptional patient experiences.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, actively listen, and connect with patients of diverse backgrounds.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize patient goals and outcomes.
    • Proficient in assessing and diagnosing various orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
    • Expertise in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and functional rehabilitation.
