Physical Therapist - Home Care jobs in Clarksville, TN
Physical Therapist - Home Care evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery in a home care environment. Establishes individualized treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Physical Therapist - Home Care maintains patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly. Advises patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process. Additionally, Physical Therapist - Home Care may work with and/or consult with physicians, case managers, and other medical professionals. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires a state license to practice physical therapy. Typically reports to a manager. Physical Therapist - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position:
We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to treat patients of all diagnosis to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance, using physical means such as exercises and modalities as indicated. The goal of home health care is to help our patients obtain a faster recovery, regain independence, and become as self-sufficient as possible to help prevent rehospitalizations. We are currently interviewing for a PRN position based out of our Columbia Home Health office. This position will cover the Dickson County area.
QUALIFICATIONS for Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):
- Current, valid, and unencumbered Tennessee PTA license
- Current CPR certification, or within 30 days of hire
- Current and valid driver license, transportation, and auto insurance
- Six months or more experience in home health
- Self-motivated and customer service oriented
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening
