We are looking for a marketing assistant to support our marketing of high-tech optical products. We are a small but rapidly growing company with an experienced team of engineers and executives, so it’s an opportunity for the right candidate to learn and develop a diverse skillset.
This is probably an entry level position for a candidate that would like to get hands-on experience in business-to-business marketing on a global scale, but applications are open for all candidates. The hours are flexible; onsite hours would preferably be 20 hours per week within 7:30 AM-5:00 PM (M-F). Pay is dependent upon qualifications. Candidates must be permanent residents or citizens of the US.
Job Duties
· Assist with creation of brochures and flyers for company products and services.
· Maintain social media accounts.
· Coordinate with our website development team.
· Coordinate with technical website content creators.
· Coordinate with third party digital marketing suppliers.
· Arrange trade shows.
Minimum Required Skills/Experience
· Proficient in English language
· At least reasonable proficiency in graphic arts, including photo editing.
· Proficient using computers for MS Office products, graphics, document layout, etc.
· Good oral and written communication skills
Other Valuable Skills/Experience
· Associate degree in a marketing related discipline, either received or in-progress.
· Knowledge of website design and WordPress.
· Given the nature of Galaxy Scientific’s business some technical acumen would be a plus.
