SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing exceptional best in class service to our pet parents. A key priority includes assisting and supporting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. Under the direction of the Store Manager, Assistant Manager will be responsible for maintaining inventories, store appearance and completing daily paperwork while promoting customer satisfaction by performing and monitoring specific job functions and duties so that each and every customer receives a great shopping experience.
Shift Supervisor Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Maintains a presence in the store demonstrating a courteous, friendly attitude and excellent customer service. Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answers questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
· Stocks, re-stocks merchandise throughout facility.
· Checks in deliveries, organizes and transfers merchandise around the store.
· At the direction of the Store Manager, supervises, trains, and develops Sales Associates on the Rumford Pet operating practices and procedures.
· Assists Store Manager in record keeping to include payroll, scheduling and cash register deposits and receipts.
· Supports Store Manager in loss prevention efforts.
· Assumes certain management responsibilities in absence of Store Manager.
· Follows all Company policies and procedures.
Position Qualifications:
· Education: High school or equivalent.
· Ability to read, write, operate electronic equipment and sales transactions, interpret and explain to other's operational directives (e.g., POS, merchandise schematics, etc.) a must.
· Experience: 2 years of store leadership experience in retail industry, preferably in pet, grocery, or drug store environments.
· Availability: Ability to work flexible full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
· Skills & Competencies: Customer Focus, Developing Potential, Results Driven, Strong Organizational Skills, Communication Skills, Problem Solving/Decision Making, Job Knowledge and Relationship Management.
· Must be 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
· Ensures physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities
· Ability to regularly lift up to 50 (fifty) lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height.
· Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
