Photocopy Operator operates high-volume copying, printing, and finishing equipment. Fulfills jobs for document duplication, printing, finishing, binding, lamination, and other processes. Being a Photocopy Operator sets up and maintains machines and inventory of supplies. Troubleshoots and resolves equipment problems. Additionally, Photocopy Operator performs quality checks on work in process and finished jobs to avoid errors or waste. Prepares finished documents for pick up or shipping. Records activities in applicable work order tracking systems and follows standard procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Photocopy Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Adherence to all department work instructions Ensure the respective area is compliant with 5S standards Process all paperwork necessary associated with established machining standards Execute basic to advanced workflow tasks on established SMC systems Work from SMC blueprints for standard and modified parts Ability to determine major diameter for roll threads Conduct basic preventative maintenance on machines Basic knowledge of SMC raw material properties Basic knowledge of SMC products Basic knowledge of painting Set up and operate basic SMC manual standard machines as assigned such as( Saws, manual drills, gun drills, tap machines polygonal flat machines thread roll machines clean machines, Bead Blast machines Tie rod machines, or Wood crate switch rail Machines) Utilization of appropriate measuring instruments using GO or NO Go gage Quality control of parts to ensure appropriate dimensions within tolerances Adherence to all SMC safety rules, OSHA, and ISO regulations Adhere to all QA management system standards All other duties as assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Physical demands require the person to regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The person is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to hear and talk. The work environment will expose the employee to the following elements: Noise, Heat, Cold, Dust, Lubricants, and Solvents Must be able to wear a mask for an extended period as required when performing essential duties. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to work well in a team environment Detail oriented Ability to effectively communicate 1-3 years prior experience in the Machine Operation field Basic computer skills are required Must be able to perform basic math functions such as (add, subtract, multiply and divide) For internal use only: Production001 Warehouse001
