Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data I / O Operator to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a post-production environment and will possess the skills listed below.

This is a contract position for someone to join the team with a potential full time opportunity if it is a mutual fit.

• Understanding of file sharing software (Media Shuttle, Aspera, Frame IO, Moxion, etc.)
• Proficiency in Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems
• Technical knowledge of file compression formats and resolutions
• Experience with LTO tape backup software
• Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet business requirements
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of digital cinema workflow, color spaces, camera types, and native camera file formats (preferred, but not required)
• Additional duties, as required and assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills / Abilities :

• Send / receive files over external networks and applications (Signiant, Aspera, Frame.io, Catapult)
• Manage SAN storage and data movement for various projects
• Communicate directly with the producing team on multiple projects, keeping them updated as tasks are executed
• Interface with clients when providing timely and accurate notifications regarding file deliveries
• Archiving & restoring media to / from LTO, both internally and for client deliverables
• Assist with VFX pulls
