Photocopy Operator operates high-volume copying, printing, and finishing equipment. Fulfills jobs for document duplication, printing, finishing, binding, lamination, and other processes. Being a Photocopy Operator sets up and maintains machines and inventory of supplies. Troubleshoots and resolves equipment problems. Additionally, Photocopy Operator performs quality checks on work in process and finished jobs to avoid errors or waste. Prepares finished documents for pick up or shipping. Records activities in applicable work order tracking systems and follows standard procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Photocopy Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION:
With day-to-day supervision, carries out a broad variety of assigned tasks in a highly structured, repetitive LEAN environment. Key is to demonstrate a broad number of tasks well, and repeat these tasks as required, to produce a high volume of quality product in the shortest possible time, to maintain aggressive production schedules. Is flexible to work on various products and processes within the manufacturing operation, dependent upon the need within the production schedule.
