Essential Duties Responsibilities
- Saw, grind, drill, or shape fiberglass laminates.
- Place finish coats of resins or gel coats on laminates, make repairs to small holes or chips and report any instance of less than a top quality product.
- Place screening, gaskets or special items on laminates by gluing, laminating, or bolting.
- Transport finished laminates to the storage area.
- Perform daily clean-up and residue disposal.
- Assist in loading of laminates for shipment.
- Assist in storage of stock material.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools.
- Assist in laminate or precast concrete production during work overload or emergency situations.
- Assist in repair of existing molds and fabrication of new molds.
- Advise the finish and precast Foreman of fire, safety or work hazards.
- Assist the building of protective boxes, crates, or pallets for fiberglass and precast items.
- Saw, drill, grind, or shape stock material as needed to support field installation.
- Assist in field installation, repair or maintenance as required.
- Observe and maintain all fire and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent
No experience necessary
Other requirements
Valid Florida Driver's License
Ability to drive a fork lift
Working Conditions
Works indoors 50% and Outdoors 50% of time
Exposed to hazardous materials
Exposed to frequent loud noises
Exposed to dangerous machinery
Generally works five 8-hour days, although overtime may occur
