Phlebotomist draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. Being a Phlebotomist may conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Phlebotomist requires Certification by a nationally recognized body. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Phlebotomist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are looking to fill a PRN position immediately for a qualified and experienced phlebotomist in the San Marcos, TX area (ONLY). Please note: This is an PRN (as needed) independent contractor (mobile phlebotomist)/1099 position*.

Schedule: *schedule is based off appointments; some weekends will be required.

Monday: 7 am - 4 pm
Tuesday: 7 am - 4 pm
Wednesday: 7 am - 4 pm
Thursday: 7 am - 4 pm
Friday: 7 am- 4 pm
Essential Job Functions:
Draw blood from patients or research participants.
Process blood including centrifuging and separating serum.
Label and store blood according to protocol.
Keep accurate log of all blood draws.
Record exact date and time of processing.
Pack and ship blood samples.
Basic Qualifications Required:
High school graduation or the equivalent
Phlebotomy certification
Minimum of 10 years of blood drawing experience
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs.
