Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities include:
-Entering, processing, filling and compliance packaging medications
-Answering phone calls from both patients and providers and insurance companies
-Assisting with the blister packing of medications and medication treatment regimens as well as participating in MTMs for area patients.
If you are a currently a Certified Pharmacy Technician with experience in a West Virginia or Ohio Pharmacy this new position may be just the change you're looking for.
Hours of operation:
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 6 PM
Saturdays: 9 AM to 1 PM
Closed Sundays
Required education:
- High school or equivalent
Required experience:
- pharmacy technician: 2 years
Required licenses or certifications:
- Valid drivers license
- Pharmacy Technician
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
