Responsibilities:

• Patient Assistance:
• Assist customers with prescription drop-off and pick-up.
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Medication Dispensing:
• Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain precise records of medication inventory and expiration dates.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory levels.
• Order, receive, and stock medications and supplies.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Quality Assurance:
• Perform routine quality checks on dispensed medications.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to implement and maintain quality assurance protocols.
• Communication:
• Effectively communicate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses.
• Collaborate with insurance providers to process claims and resolve any issues.
• Keep the pharmacy team informed of any changes or updates in pharmacy regulations.
• Pharmacy Technology:
• Proficiently use pharmacy software for prescription processing.
• Stay updated on advancements in pharmacy technology and participate in training sessions as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license with the state of Tennessee is required.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in pharmacy software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
