Pharmacy Technician jobs in Pennsylvania
Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

The individual hired will process prescriptions on a pharmacy computer system, handle the intake of patient prescriptions, file documents, and operate a POS register. Competitive pay and safe working conditions. Retail pharmacy experience is not necessary but a plus. Certification is not required but is also a plus. No evening or weekend shifts.
