Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. ```Qualifications```
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
- Experience with IV infusion, medication administration, and patient service preferred
- Familiarity with acute care, inhale, patient care, pharmacy, hospital, and critical care settings
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
