Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Central Input Pharmacy Technician (TX)
Reports to: Central Input Staff Pharmacist
As the gatekeeper of the Big Country Proven Process, you are the point of entry for every Big Country Dermatology Pharmacy prescription. Your first priority is preventing a bottleneck of inbound prescriptions by streamlining input across all Big Country locations. Like a surgeon, you are laser focused on accuracy and attention to detail. You have developed a strong understanding of our drug formulary and insurance/rebates process resulting in minimal errors.
