Pharmacy Service Clerk is responsible for performing daily, routine tasks in the pharmacy such as answering the phone, responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Being a Pharmacy Service Clerk assists with stocking and inventory tasks. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Service Clerk typically reports to a supervisor. The Pharmacy Service Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, assists in the stocking and storage of inventory. Assists in the filing of prescription records. Operates the POS system where applicable. Delivers completed prescription orders to patients in the various clinics and/or hospital at their location. Assists in the shipping of packages to patient’s home or office. Reports to the pharmacist on duty.
