GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Highlands County Clerk of Circuit Court & Comptroller’s Information Technology (IT) Service Desk Support Team oversees all facets of end-user technology and assistance across various county offices, including the Clerk of Circuit Court & Comptroller, Board of County Commissioners, Supervisor of Elections, and Tax Collector. Their responsibilities encompass providing hardware and software support for computers and associated devices like printers and scanners, managing user accounts, assisting with software applications, and training users, among other duties.
The Support Specialist assumes the responsibility of answering incoming phone calls, conducting initial analysis of work orders, and offering solutions whenever feasible. They diligently document reported work orders and allocate them to appropriate team members. Moreover, they uphold a standard of consistent, high-quality customer experience while addressing problems or requests. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and prioritizing unassigned work orders and aiding users in resolving recurring, known issues.
Furthermore, the Support Specialist will also strive to maintain consistency in data across various Information Technology applications and documentation.
This position is Disaster Essential and will require the employee to report to duty before, during and after a civil emergency.

10. Resolve end-user issues remotely using appropriate remote access tools.
11. Escalate complex or time-consuming issues to the appropriate Support Analyst.
12. Utilize Active Directory to manage user accounts.
