Retail Clerk to Pharmacy Technician

This clerk position is located in our Huron location with an exciting potential for advancement as a California Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacy Technician.

Cardinal Health will not only pay you while working as a clerk but will sponsor your entire training, which will be reimbursed to you in full upon completion.

This fast-paced training will provide a unique entry point to a career in pharmacy by providing the skills necessary to thrive as a pharmacy technician, and its completion and Board of Pharmacy licensed within 6 months is a requirement of this position.

This position requires excellent customer service skills, multi-tasking ability, and fluency in Spanish . Travel to other local UHC locations, and work Saturday rotation at any UHC location as needed is also required.

Pharmacy Hours : Monday 10 : 00AM - 6 : 30PM. Tuesday - Friday 9 : 00AM - 5 : 30PM. Saturdays 9 : 00AM - 2 : 00PM

Employee may be asked to cover other surrounding pharmacies as needed and will receive mileage reimbursement

Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks

Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution

Refers to policies and past practices for guidance

Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments

Consults with supervisor or senior peers on complex and unusual problems

High school degree or equivalent, preferred

Customer service skills

Fluent in Spanish

Reliable transportation

Ability to travel to other UHC locations in the area when necessary

A Covid-19 vaccination or a legitimate accommodation is required in order to be employed in this position. Covid-19 vaccination includes :

2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine / 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine

1 booster dose of the vaccine (Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, or Pfizer)

Anticipated hourly range : $16.60 per hour - $23.69 per hour
