NATURE OF POSITION

To ensure customer satisfaction by handling each customer’s needs. To ensure each customer has a
positive shopping experience and to remember that the customer is the top priority.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma (or equivalent) is required. Previous retail experience is preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
• Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
• Maintains a pleasant rapport with delivery customers and institution employees

SALARY GRADE AND CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
RESPONSIBLE TO: Pharmacy Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a cash register including cash transactions, checks, and charge
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash register performance
• Request additional help when needed to increase customer satisfaction
• Greet each customer and help at all times to assist customers with their questions, problems

and complaints

• Price merchandise using price tags and stock shelves
• Store cleanliness: rest rooms, vacuum, dust/face, rubbish removal
• Answer the telephone using the appropriate greeting
• Maintain check-out area; fill register supplies, bags; wipe counter tops
• Maintain customer/patient confidentiality
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed
• Assist customers with large purchases (taking out to vehicle)
• Unload and load tray/cases – 35 pound maximum to a height of 4 feet. Move trays/cases

from one location to another

• Delivery of prescriptions and supplies to customers at their residence or institution
• Maintain clean and uncluttered delivery vehicle
