Pharmacy Service Clerk is responsible for performing daily, routine tasks in the pharmacy such as answering the phone, responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Being a Pharmacy Service Clerk assists with stocking and inventory tasks. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Service Clerk typically reports to a supervisor. The Pharmacy Service Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Description
Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for assisting the pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with day-to-day operational needs. The clerk also is required to adhere to the company’s quality customer service standards, policies and procedures, state, and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Working the cash registers for patients picking up prescriptions or over-the-counter items.
- Answering phone calls to take refill requests, answer questions, or transfer to pharmacist.
- Restocking shelves with daily orders of prescription drugs or over-the-counter items.
- Bag and hang prescriptions that are filled and ready for pickup in the Will-Call section.
- Assist with cleaning the workspace and pharmacy areas.
- Perform clerk assignments requested by pharmacy management.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy or retail work experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
Job Type: Full-time orPart-time. Weekends availablility.
Pay Rate: $10-$12/hour
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
