General Overview
Project Manager (PM) are responsible for the organization and coordination of Computerway (or other) projects through the complete sales cycle from “actual sale” through to “acceptance” or sign-off on the system by the customer. The Projects Manager role includes the overseeing of training as may be required in addition to roles in guiding system implementations and related (internal) application and hardware developments.
The PM must gain expertise with CFS systems and with CFS customers and is expected to be able to take on projects as assigned by the Projects Department Manager. Project Manager is expected to assist customers through each stage of Computerway implementation with some (minimal) assistance from the department Manager or the Senior Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Project Management:
Assist Projects Department Manager or other Project Managers with project management tasks related to new system implementation, system upgrades and on-going client support
Interact with clients to define project checklists, assign target dates and responsibilities
Work with clients to define new development requirements and provide specifications for such
Provide client consultation regarding recommended procedures for implementing Computerway systems
Responsible for communicating and ensuring all internal resources are knowledgeable and on-target regarding critical dates, required resources and new development requirements
Responsible for follow-up items required following project completion
Act as the primary point of contact for client projects assigned as the project lead
Write specifications and provide quotations (when necessary) for new requests and/or new system developments
Communicate with programmers and testing personnel regarding new requests
Ensure allocated project resources are maintained within budgeted amounts.
Assist Projects DM with sales and marketing related tasks, i.e. setup and configuration for customer demos, marketing write-ups, etc.
