Pharmacy Director jobs in Oklahoma
Pharmacy Director directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital or healthcare facility's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. Being a Pharmacy Director requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Typically requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Additionally, Pharmacy Director typically reports to a top management. The Pharmacy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Pharmacy Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Previous experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable, but not mandatory. # QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of school or college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education. Current license to practice in Oklahoma. Maintenance of license through approved continuing education courses. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to talk and converse distinctly with others in person and over the phone. Able to walk/stand for extended periods, some lifting. Able to reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read/write, discern small objects, to accurately fill medication orders. Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Must have strength/stamina to deal with stressful situations. Adequate fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to type and accurately fill medication orders.
