The Director of Pharmacy provides vision, leadership, oversight, and supervision for all aspects of Katy Trail Pharmacy, a retail 340B and open pharmacy operation. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring quality systems and standards are in place which support the safe delivery of health care in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. In addition, the Director of Pharmacy will serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge of Katy Trail Pharmacy and will collaborate with Katy Trail providers and clinical teams in delivery of clinical pharmacy services to patients of the health center.
· Master’s degree in pharmacy, PharmD preferred.
· Active Missouri Pharmacy License.
· Minimum five years experience in pharmacy management, including pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy programs, and staff management.
· Experience in 340B program management preferred.
· Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate and interact with a broad range of individuals and variable consumers of pharmacological services.
· Willingness to work flexible hours and rotating Saturdays.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects as well as work effective in stressful situations.
· Familiarity with pharmacy software implementation and usage optimization. Computer RX experience preferred.
· Proficiency in business software applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, internet, email, and office management systems.
· Ability to exercise good judgment in situational analysis and decision-making.
· Must be able to see, hear, read, write, kneel, stand for long periods of time, sit, and lift 35 lbs without device assistance.
· Spanish-speaking preferred.
· Must meet CMS guidelines for COVID-19 vaccination.
· Possess CPR certification by hire date
