Pharmacy Director jobs in Alaska
Pharmacy Director directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital or healthcare facility's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. Being a Pharmacy Director requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Typically requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Additionally, Pharmacy Director typically reports to a top management. The Pharmacy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Pharmacy Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Director of Pharmacy - Deputy DOP Requirements:- A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; an advanced degree (Pharm D. or M.S.) preferred.
- Must have a valid unrestricted license to practice pharmacy and to dispense controlled substances within the United States.
- 3-5 years Pharmacy practice experience, preferred with 1-3 years in a management position preferred.
- •Basic Life Support (BLS) competency required within 90 days.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) competency preferred
