Pharmacist - Retail reviews prescriptions and compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs according to regulatory requirements and guidelines in a retail environment. Responds to customers questions about medications and advises about drug safety and potential interactions. Being a Pharmacist - Retail manages the transfer of prescriptions, incoming physician calls, and drug utilization review. Ensures that pharmacy's patient and financial records are correctly input and maintained. Additionally, Pharmacist - Retail requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires registered pharmacist(RPh). Requires pharmacy practice. Pharmacist - Retail's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. What they’re looking for:
•Bachelor's or PharmD from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
•Ohio Pharmacy license required.
•Minimum of 2 years (3 years preferred) of Retail pharmacy experience.
What you’ll be doing:
•Interprets prescriptions and dispenses pharmaceuticals and related devices in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
•Provides patient information and counseling.
•Reviews patients’ utilization, therapeutic duplications, disease state, drug interaction, drug allergy, dosage and duration of drug treatment, abuse or misuse of drug and takes appropriate action when concerns arise.
•Calculates accurate doses and prepares compounded prescriptions and IV medications according to physician orders.
•Supervises technical staff and is role model to demonstrate courteous, compassionate care for customers and co-workers.

•THIS POSITION IS MORE OF A FLOATER POSITION AND WILL WORK PRIMARILY AT 2 OF THE LOCATIONS IN TOWN.
• Reports to the Pharmacy Manager.
Requirements
Hours and compensation potential:
•The position is full time, 8hr shifts. Hours are between 7am-8pm based on the location and would have to work 1 out of 4 weekends.
•The range is between $48hr-$60hr depending on experience.
•The facility offers a full benefit package.
