Pharmacist - Retail reviews prescriptions and compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs according to regulatory requirements and guidelines in a retail environment. Responds to customers questions about medications and advises about drug safety and potential interactions. Being a Pharmacist - Retail manages the transfer of prescriptions, incoming physician calls, and drug utilization review. Ensures that pharmacy's patient and financial records are correctly input and maintained. Additionally, Pharmacist - Retail requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires registered pharmacist(RPh). Requires pharmacy practice. Pharmacist - Retail's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. About the Team
The Lakewood Retail Pharmacy team is an exciting new venture that combines Longbella’s legacy of pharmacy services with Lakewood’s innovative and growing leadership. With several locations throughout Lakewood Health System, our retail pharmacy team meets the needs of patients at our clinics, main hospital campus and new retail location at The Plaza on highway 10.
Mission for Position
The retail pharmacist ensures excellent and high-quality experiences for patients as they fill orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies and supervise support retail pharmacy personnel.
