The Quality Representative is an integral part of the daily execution of our final customer acceptance of flight hardware and the site tool and equipment calibration system. The role will be responsible for accurate and controlled execution of customer acceptance/sell-off processes, tool calibration to the standards and transactions that support products from assembly, final inspection and to product shipments. This role serves as primary point of contact between Production, Government Quality Representatives, and the Shipping Dock as a source of information on final product acceptance.
This role is key between Quality and Operations to ensure:
On time release of units to shipping as well as maintaining correct records in the business systems assigned.
On time and control over the tools and equipment in our calibration system used for product verifications.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of being organized, process driven, with speed and accuracy to ensure quality requirements and customer schedules are met.
Job Responsibilities:
Plans, validates compliance, and stages product and documentation for customer acceptance.
Reviews, creates, and releases calibration request & PO for outside calibrations.
Perform data transactions on findings and support operations in root cause/corrective action as needed.
Proactively identify, communicate, and find solutions to quality and calibration compliance risks in schedule.
Monitors calibration system, anticipates and resolves calibration issues prior to shop impacts.
Participate in daily production meeting to engage, maintain, and inform of impacts to product compliance or issues seen.
Primary point of contact between Customer, Quality, and Operations for Customer acceptance and calibration issues.
Responsible to facilitate and execute assigned internal audits in accordance with AS9100 and Government contract requirements.
Provide reports/metrics to management as required including assigned KPI’s.
Job Requirements:
2 years in a fast paced high accuracy environment (Aerospace/Medical a plus)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrated transactional accuracy in business systems, process control, safety mindset,
Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret data, in situations where problems deal with people, processes, and data transactions.
Multi-tasker who pays attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Keep assigned areas clean and organized, achieving site Lean 5S expectations.
Experience with adaptive problem-solving approaches and implementing solutions.
Work well in a team-based stakeholder-driven environment.
Ability to work independently with operations, customers, buyers, and production control members.
Possess excellent listening skills.
Be able to lift at least 25 lbs. Ability to be forklift certified.
Experience Preferred:
Experience in computer/data inputs (performing system transactions).
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
