Pension Administrator, Sr. is responsible for the administration of retirement plans. Maintains plan records and ensures compliance with federal regulations. Being a Pension Administrator, Sr. communicates with customers and assists with plan design and benefit distributions. Coordinates plan activities with other departments to promote efficiencies for low-cost administrative services. Additionally, Pension Administrator, Sr. may have an ASPA designation. The Office of Research, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking to a highly motivated individual to fill the Sr. Contracts &
Grant Administrator position. The incumbent will provide research support
activities for a group of diverse faculty and staff investigators, to include
pre-award and post-award services, operational support, exploring funding
opportunities, and departmental initiatives. This position plays a key role in
our department research mission and will ensure that the proposed terms and
conditions, budgets, and corresponding obligations comply with applicable laws,
regulations, and institutional policy. Additionally, the individual in this
position is responsible for the compilation, analysis, interpretation and
presentation of quantitative information which will also be used for our annual
report. Incumbent will need to be professional, organized, provide great
communication both orally and in writing, and exhibits superb customer service
while taking initiative.
In order to successfully support investigators, the Office
of Research provides:
* Project planning
* Budget preparation
* Compliance review of agency's application requirements
* Guidance in electronic submission
* Obtaining departmental approvals for submission to the HSC
Sponsored Projects Office, and
* Ensuring that
research faculty is provided with the necessary laboratory space to conduct
their research.
The Office of Research believes that

support for designated research effort in an academic environment, and financial
support from the department. It is the intent of the Office of Research to
support, guide, and educate faculty, so that they are prepared to successfully
navigate through the process in order to facilitate ethical and sound
scientific research.
High school diploma or GED; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
