Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee all clerical functions related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Scale transactions, and Safety.
• Maintain payroll information and employee files.
• Responsible for checking employee time sheets for accuracy and completeness and entering data in QuickBooks.
• Working with 3rd party vendor to complete the payroll process.
• Pre and post-employment paperwork.
• Work with insurance vendors and employees during open enrollment.
• Responsible for reviewing and updating employee handbook as it relates to payroll and human resource items.
• Ensure completeness of ISN rating, WSI reporting, OSHA & MSHA reporting.

High school diploma or General Education Degree GED is preferred.

Previous payroll / hr and management experience is required.

• Leadership ability to manage challenges and oversee employees.
• Ability to complete tasks timely and accurately with very little supervision. Good math and calculation skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records and company data.
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.
• QuickBooks and Excel experience is a plus.
