Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will perform clerical work requiring application of various methods and procedures and familiarity with departmental functions, policies and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for up to 125 employees using ADP Workforce Now payroll system
- Calculate and enter payroll data including attendance, garnishments and child support
- Ensure accuracy of payroll by reviewing and verifying data entered
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements to employees
- Maintain accurate records of employee information, tax withholdings, and deductions
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely manner
- Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and compliance with company policies on a daily basis via email, phone and in person
- Assist with month-end close activities related to payroll, including journal entries and account reconciliation
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or related field
- Strong knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now payroll software
-Advance skill set with Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
