Payroll Director jobs in Sarasota, FL
Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Payroll Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. We're looking for someone to manage the service items generated by the requests of our commercial insurance clients. If you are detail-oriented, computer proficient, and like helping people, you could be a great fit for this role. We are always recruiting new talent and would love to talk with you. Right now, we're eager to hire someone to support our insurance staff and their clients.
Responsibilities
- Daily interaction with clients; including reviewing policies, answering questions, offering solutions, billing and claims as well as handling policy changes and renewals.
- Document and maintain client files using accurate details of insured interactions.
- Process new and renewal business, endorsements, and cancellations
- Post Payments, address billing questions.
- Work with prospective clients to assure maximum use of our products and services.
- Problem-solve and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients.
- Skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others, both written and verbally. Professionalism on the phone, in-person, and even texting, is the standard.
- Ability to prioritize your daily workload so that needs of customers are met on a ‘most urgent’ basis.
- Ability to embrace frequent changes in the industry.
- Desire to work in a team environment.
- Qualifications/Requirements
- Customer service experience in a professional setting
- Will train for FL 4-40 or 2-20 insurance license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer proficiency Windows PC
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Pay commensurate with Skill
