Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
Each position employed with CYO Camps helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:
Work with the Environmental Education Director to plan, direct, and supervise the Environmental Education program and staff, while providing an educationally enriching program in the tradition of the Catholic faith.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:
1. Assist in leading staff training under direction of Environmental Education Program Coordinator.
2. Implement and supervise the Environmental Education program, under direction of the Environmental Education Director.
3. Provide leadership in all areas of the program when necessary; including but not limited to teaching lessons, leading meals, organizing mass, running evening programming and being on call several nights a week.
4. Create an atmosphere which makes all school participants and staff feel safe, comfortable, and welcome.
5. Assist in the evaluation and formation of the Educators and program on an on-going basis and at the end of the season.
6. Work with staff and teachers to deal with student, chaperone and teacher needs, staff relations, and program development.
7. Respond to and report emergency situations that may arise during the sessions, even into evening hours.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Primary:
a. Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the Archbishop.
2. Education:
a. BA or BS degree in an applicable field or significant qualifying experience.
3. Experience:
a. Demonstrated experience working with the public.
b. Demonstrated understanding of youth development and child behavior management.
c. Previous experience working with diverse populations.
4. Other Elements:
A. Commitment to the mission and values of CYO.
B. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable with public speaking with the ability to meet and work with teachers and chaperones.
C. Must have current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness and ability to obtain prior to the season. D. Willingness to work outside in a variety of weather for long periods.
E. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and live on site in rustic facilities while programs are in session.
