Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Legacy Transportation Services is currently seeking a qualified HR and Payroll Supervisor in Sparks, NV.
As the HR & Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that Payroll, Benefits Administration is completed accurately and records/reporting are properly maintained.
Your Primary Duties Will Include:
Overseeing accurate and thorough payroll processing to include: garnishments, 401K, Flex Plan, health insurance premiums, state tax accounts. Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws. Adjusting and recording errors and complaints related to payroll or benefits. Overseeing worker’s compensation claims and handling. Overseeing benefit administration to include accurate payment of premiums due. Leave of absence recording and monitoring. Supervising HR/Payroll staff members involved with payroll and benefits administration completion of company financial, government or third party administration reporting.
