Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is to provide administration and processing payroll for different types of business clients. Processing and maintaining all deductions and payrolls for different types of businesses on a payroll cycle that is weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly, with employees ranging from 1 – 600 employees. They will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all payroll-related transactions. This includes recording hours, processing time records, compiling payroll reports, maintaining employee payroll records, calculating overtime pay, bonuses, adjustments, in-house processing of checks and direct deposits and terminations. Additionally, she/he must be able to interpret state and federal laws as they pertain to the business.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal Payroll Specialist has 1 - 3 years’ ISolved payroll processing experience and/or graduation of an accredited business or vocational school specializing in accounting/bookkeeping classes. This person will meet most or all of the following requirements:

Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and Excel experience preferred. Ability to learn other advanced computer systems.
Other Requirements:
May be required to assist in other duties and/or projects as assigned by Supervisor. Prior experience working in a high-functioning and fast-paced office environment is a plus. Some travel to the client’s work site locations may be required. May be required to work in the evenings and weekends as necessary.
