Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. The Director, Global Payroll / Time & Attendance will provide strategic oversight to a large global customer-centric team in the delivery of Global Payroll, Time & Attendance Services across the global markets.
This position will collaborate with other members of the HR Leadership to define and drive strategy in alignment with organizational goals & objectives.
This critical leader will oversee end to end servicing for Global Payroll / Time & Attendance, including strategic vision and oversight for innovative payroll support and processes, multiple geographically dispersed payroll models, compliance, and controllership.
This position will foster relationships with various internal stakeholders through cross functional collaboration in delivery of HR services.
This leader will analyze, set, and drive the overall strategy and roadmap for Global Payroll / Time & Attendance. They will use operational experience and expertise, data-driven insights, and business acumen to identify the greatest areas of opportunity to Elevate the Employee Experience.
AS THE DIRECTOR, GLBOAL PAYROLL / TIME &ATTENDANCE YOU WILL :
Oversees strategic vision and roadmap to build a Global Payroll and Time & Attendance function.
Oversees US and International payroll operations, processing and compliance, analysis of exempt and nonexempt payrolls, oversees payroll vendors and controllership and related activities including account reviews and compliance.
Overall management and analysis of payroll operations and related activities that ensure compliance with global jurisdictions for 18,000 employees.
Ensure proper processes are in place for capturing all inputs accurately and review payroll output from payroll vendors, which includes but is not limited to performing payroll analysis such as total gross payroll to net payment, average paid per headcount by country, and comparison of analysis to prior period, etc.
Responsible for defining tiered service models and associated processes to meet business needs.
Brings existing service delivery channels together and to a more advanced state of stability and maturity for all aspects of Payroll and Time & Attendance Services.
Drive cross functional relationships to identify and implement process improvements and drive excellence and eliminate errors.
Leads, develops, and inspires a global team of payroll professionals in a rapidly changing environment.
Manage third party vendors and the preparation, analysis and maintenance of all payroll related reports, including governmental and regulatory filings.
Support external audits.
Fosters a client-focused environment and mindset to ensure delivery of an exceptional employee experience.
Ensures strong consultative partnership to business users, HR partners, and COE partners to continuously improve and scale service.
Supports strategic initiatives with other functions to ensure service and solutions excellence.
Oversees multiple regional multi-tier service centers and ensures appropriate standards are in place to evaluate and optimize service delivery and service quality.
Monitors operational metrics to ensure effective processes, pay delivery and planning.
Accountable for vendor relationships, expectations setting and performance.
Oversees Global Payroll / Time & Attendance budget management.
Continuously improve and innovate to reduce / eliminate very manual and / or duplicative processes.
Flexible Work Schedule Remote Work Option and Core Hours :
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9 : 00am - 3 : 00pm.

Required Education, Experience & Skills :
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and 7 years of HR / Payroll experience, or combined equivalent
Proven experience as a Global Payroll Director or similar leadership role, overseeing global payroll operations.
In-depth knowledge of global payroll practices, regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements across multiple countries and regions.
Strong understanding of statutory deductions, tax rates, social security requirements, and benefits regulations globally.
Extensive experience in managing relationships with global payroll service providers and vendors.
Proficiency in using payroll software or systems for end-to-end global payroll processing like ADP Globalview, ADP Celergo, Ceridian Excelity and Kronos Time & Attendance.
Excellent understanding of HRIS systems and their integration with payroll systems.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive process improvements and optimize payroll operations.
Strong analytical skills to assess payroll data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to navigate complex payroll landscapes, adapt to changing regulations, and manage risks.
Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling employee information.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with a customer-centric mindset.
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in global payroll regulations and best practices.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills :
Relevant certifications in global payroll management or related fields are advantageous.
