Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Payroll Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Samaritan Health Services, a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking a new or experienced Occupational Medicine Physician to join our team in beautiful Albany, Oregon as a Medical Director.     Job Specifics

    • Schedule is 4 days per week, caring for 16 to 20 patients per day. 
    • Join a group of 2 NPs and 7 MAs serving the Willamette Valley and Oregon Coast.
    • Salary ranges from $273,670 – $305,838, depending on experience and qualifications.
    • 95% of time in this role spent as a practicing clinician and 5% of time on administrative duties.  
    • Medical Director will practice in valley with occasional visits to Samaritan’s coastal locations.
    • Provides occupational health services including injury care, FAA flight physicals, occupational surveillance exams, fitness for duty exams, case management, DOT medical certification exams.
    • Plan and direct medical programs of the department, develop annual clinical goals.
    • Serve as main point of contact with employers regarding Samaritan Occ Med programs.
    • Serve as Medical Review Officer, physician advisor to employee health, and physician supervisor for onsite EMS non-transport team.
    • Primary point of contact for Samaritan Medical Group on matters relating to occupational health.

    Job Requirements

    • FAA AME certification desired.
    • Board certified or board eligible Occupational Medicine.
    • Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.
    • Eligibility to work in the United States.
