Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. At Payroll Assure we believe the customer experience is essential to our success. We are looking for a Part Time Payroll Customer Service Representative to be involved in all aspects of our daily payroll processing.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Responsible for all aspects of quality client service. From entering a payroll for a client to assisting the client as they enter and process their payroll.
· Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients, agencies, and coworkers to promote a positive quality service image.
· Contact clients according to set schedules in order to obtain payroll data, including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, and employee deductions or adjustments.
· Provide quality client service to maintain a high rate of client retention.
· Gain and maintain knowledge of the payroll processing system as well as wage and tax laws.
· Research and resolve client and system issues to ensure accurate payrolls.
· Assist with Day End, Quarter End, and Year End processes and filings.
Requirements:
· High school diploma / GED
· Experience working in payroll preferred, but not required.
· Minimum of 2 years office experience in customer service, data entry, and problem resolution.
