Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator operates a mechanical machine to lay gravel, stone, and cold-mix asphalt on road surfaces. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. The ideal candidate would learn to operate heavy machinery, (excavator, skid steer, rollers, paver), and will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and gain knowledge and experience in asphalt paving, sealcoating, crack filling and line striping. The worker must be able to follow safety procedures, follow direction, and have a strong attention to detail.
Job work includes:
- Able to follow directions.
- Operate machines in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines.
- Ensure that all safety regulations are followed.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
- Load and unload equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
