Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator jobs in Iowa
Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator operates a mechanical machine to lay gravel, stone, and cold-mix asphalt on road surfaces. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Job Description
Position requires expert operation of various forms of heavy equipment. Will be operating heavy equipment at construction sites on city streets, highways and interstates within the state of Iowa.Job Requirements
- Must have 3 years heavy equipment operating experience
- Experience in operating
- Excavator
- Backhoe
- Trackhoe
- Dozer
- Experience in digging and laying pipe
- Ability to work around utilities
- Clearing, Grading, Excavation, establishing grades
- Insurable driver's license is a plus
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Occasional travel may be required
- Wage based on experience
